Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of MiTE is committed to enhance the quality of education in order to fulfill the requirements and satisfaction of its students, the potential employees of the graduates and stakeholders.
Mission
Introduction
The objective of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is to maintain and improve the standard of education and research and make it compatible with national and international requirements. In 21st century, the QEC has become the most important functional organ of a university to keep the education standards abreast with the fast-changing world. MiTE is fully aware of the importance of QEC and therefore has established the QEC department shortly after its inception.
MiTE QEC department will ensure to apply the quality standards guided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the other accreditation councils.
The QEC department serves as a focal point for the quality assurance process to hold the standard of higher education and research. In order to enhance academic standards, raise public awareness, and prepare instructors to create Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) of the various teaching programs in their individual departments, it collaborates with the Quality Assurance Agency of Higher Education Commission (QAA/HEC). In this regard, the QEC works to safeguard the interests of students, professors and other stakeholders in the higher education sector through a system of surveys and feedback.
MiTE QEC will collaborate with international quality assurance councils like International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and Association of Quality Assurance Agencies of the Islamic World (AQAAIW).
MiTE is already in the process of implementing Outcome Based Education (OBE) as per the guidance of Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) to maintain the high education standards.
