PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Associate Degree Program in Computer Science (ADP-CS) is a two-year undergraduate program equivalent to 14 years of education. It is designed to build a strong foundation in computing concepts, programming, data structures, databases, networks, and problem-solving.

The program emphasizes practical learning through laboratory work and real-world projects, enabling students to develop analytical and technical skills essential for software development, system analysis, and computing support roles. Graduates will be well-prepared for entry-level positions in IT and software industries or to continue their education in BS Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines.

MiTE will strictly follow the Admission Criteria as provided by Higher Education Commission

(HEC), Sindh Higher Education Commission (S-HEC) and National Computing Education

Accreditation Council (NCEAC). All applicants will be evaluated on the same criteria regardless of their religion, race, creed, colour, financial status or domicile. For admission to the Associate Degree Program in Computer Science, the candidate must meet the following eligibility criteria:

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

To be eligible for admission in ADP-Computer Science at MiTE:

• Students from the Commerce group are not eligible for ADP–CS. 
• A candidate must have at least 45% marks in Intermediate (HS) in Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Computer Science, Commerce group/A-Level or equivalent/Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE/foreign qualification (with mathematics).
• Candidates with O-Level / A-Level / foreign qualifications must submit an equivalence certificate from IBCC.
• Candidates who did not study Mathematics previously must either:
• Pass an additional Mathematics paper from the respective Intermediate Board,
• Or Complete deficiency courses in Mathematics (6 credit hours within the first year of ADP-CS.
• Students awaiting results or appearing in improvement exams may apply conditionally and will be regularized upon fulfilling admission requirements.
• Submission of false documents will lead to immediate cancellation of admission.

• The candidate should clear the MiTE entrance test with a minimum of 50% marks.
• The candidates who have already cleared NAT, GAT or SAT exam from any HEC and/or Sindh HEC approved testing service with validity are exempted from MiTE Entrance Test requirement (proofs of original test is required).
